First Post ~( c•ﻌ•ↄ

Dear....Whoever!

    Hi! Welcome in! Thanks for coming over, I have a kettle on the stove and it should be ready any minute now. Feel free to take a seat where ever ^-^ and I'll be over in just a tick. 

 

    So, I guess I should start by introducing myself and talking a little about why I'm doing this and what I want to get out of it. I'm Jo (the mouse) and I'm doing this because of course I am!! I saw a post online about doing it and I am so very verrryyyy susceptible to trying anything anyone online tells me to do! But in all seriousness and reality I love the idea of slowing down my media consumption and having a more free form place to express myself. 

 

    I imagine my main thing I want to post to be all of my sticky note doodles from work. Or at least the fun ones. The sad ones I'll just keep sticking in my journal. But I'm just so tired of posting them on tumblr or instagram and waiting for the dopamine hits of hopefully someone liking them, or commenting on them, or, god forbid!, sharing them!! So yeah, I just kinda want to get away from all that and get back to screaming into the void. The real void. The one that doesn't have an echo I crave to hear back from. 

 

    I think I'll have to do a nice long separate post to share a bunch of past ones, and for now you'll have to make do with a digital one (I opened clip studio only to realize I've wasted so much time today setting this up and forgot I needed to get to working on the illustration I'm making my boyfriend for his birthday)(I'm not gonna be able to finish by then)(unless I get straight to work right. now.)  

  

    So I guess I'll wrap it up by leaving you with one other thing, my reading list. These are all the books I'm actively reading and I'd love to figure out some sort of tracker thingy to track what I've finished.   

 Currently Reading:

⭒Sunrise on the Reaping, Suzanne Collins (on a bit of a break for fear of heartbreak) 

⭒Wicked, Gregory Maguire (yet to start, but found an old bookmark and apparently 17 yr old me got pretty far)
